Important Notes on Compatibility:
1. This unit ONLY works with the original BMW NBT EVO system. A NBT EVO system car radio usually comes with a 6-pin LVDS port, “NBTevo_xxxx” and “Automatic map update” shows on version info. Note: A “ID5” or “ID6” interface does not guarantee that you have the NBT EVO system.
2. Please see XTRONS QLB22NB12THL (for left-hand drive cars)/QLB22NB12THR (for right-hand drive cars) if your vehicle comes with a NBT system.
3. If your car comes with NO audio AUX input, you will need a FM transmitter to aid the installation. (XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 and CA/ITR/FM03 are compatible.) Connect the XTRONS unit to your car’s AUX input for audio functionality. Ensure AUX is enabled to enjoy the full audio experience with our head unit.
4. After installation the gesture control function cannot be activated and the touch function will work when you switch to original system (you can use the iDrive controller to control on the original system).
